Since I was sworn in as Councilman:
- Violent crimes have decreased by nearly 7%
- Non-violent crimes have decreased by nearly 14%
- Increased the number of police officers by nearly 10%
- Installed more than 70 police cameras
- Switched to a comprehensive community police strategy

“I promise to protect taxpayers’ money and install a sense of fiscal responsibility…”
Since I was sworn in as Councilman:
- Never voted for a property tax increase
- Voted for tens of thousands of dollars in budget cuts
- Fought for a debt refinancing plan that saved Allentown’s taxpayers more than $650,000
- Created City Council’s first permanent Budget and Finance Committee in order to review the revenues and expenditures throughout the entire year
- Supported the installation of a Controller’s Report at every Council meeting
- Ordered the first comprehensive financial review of Department of Community and Economic Development

“I promise to support and create programs to help bring jobs and investments to Allentown…”
Since I was sworn in as Councilman:
- Helped spearhead the effort to bring Main Street designation to Hamilton Street
- Re-wrote outdated zoning rules that were curtailing restaurants’ ability to serve customers and increase investment
- Supported tax incentives that led to new investments in downtown Allentown including a manufacturing center
- Wrote the law that allows Allentown to use allocated federal Stimulus funds

“I promise to improve Allentown’s quality of life for all of the City’s residents…”
Since I was sworn in as Councilman:
- Authored the strongest anti-graffiti law of any city in Pennsylvania
- Led the fight for the creation of a Veterans’ Sanctuary Center in Downtown Allentown
- Wrote the law curtailing illegal second-hand shops
- Worked with our Department of Parks and Recreation on the creation of a master plan for our trail network, the renovation of Keck Park and the improvements to our historic WPA projects
- Helped the process of building the Lehigh Valley’s first fully accessible playground for children of all development levels
- Supported a number of housing initiatives that will allow working class Allentownians the chance to live in appropriate housing
